  • How can Leonard Accident Management help me?
Car accidents can be a stressful time for anyone. When an accident is not your fault, Leonard Accident Management is here to help. We help with everything, including: dealing with insurers vehicle recovery repairs vehicle replacements legal assistance. Our services won’t cost you anything as we recover our fees from third-party insurers.
  • How long does the claims process take?
We understand you want to put the accident behind you and will work hard to get your vehicle damage claim sorted within weeks or even days of the accident date. This can vary depending on how proactive the "at fault" insurer is. If you have suffered personal injury the timeframes will vary. If you have suffered relatively minor injuries, then the claim may be settled within six to nine months of the accident. However, if you’ve experienced more serious injuries, your claim will take longer as more medical evidence will have to be obtained to fully assess your injuries.
  • How much does it cost?
We will pursue the other driver via their insurance company for the damage to your vehicle, the cost of providing you with a replacement vehicle and compensation for any injuries you sustained in the accident. Leonard Accident Management costs and your legal costs will be paid by the at-fault driver’s insurance company.
  • How can I prove I'm not at fault?
If the other driver does not admit liability, our experienced Claims Handlers will discuss the circumstances of the accident with you. Our experienced team combined with an expert panel of Solicitors means that we are best placed to advise you in respect of who was at fault for an accident. We may need to carry out a Collisions Investigation which can include: Liaising with PSNI Obtaining witness statements Obtaining dashcam footage or CCTV Attending the accident locus to take photographs Reviewing engineering evidence Our advice is free of charge so if you are unsure who was at fault, it is worth a phone call to Leonard Accident Management.
  • Should I inform my own insurance company of the accident?
Yes, we recommend you let your insurance company know you have been involved in an accident. We can assist you with this process.
  • Will my insurance be affected?
When you have been involved in a non-fault accident, your no-claims bonus should not be affected. Your own insurance company should be informed of the accident for information purposes only. They will not take any action on your behalf and your insurance will remain unaffected.
  • Does Leonard Accident Management provide vehicle recovery?
Yes, we have an extensive team of recovery agents that can recover your vehicle from anywhere in Northern Ireland. Your vehicle will be kept in secure storage until it has been written off or repaired.
  • Will Leonard Accident Management provide a replacement car similar to my own?
Yes, we can arrange for a “like for like” replacement vehicle to be delivered to you. If your vehicle is unroadworthy, you will be entitled to a replacement vehicle until you receive payment from the at-fault driver’s insurer for the total loss of your vehicle. If your vehicle is roadworthy you will be entitled to a replacement vehicle whilst repairs are being carried out to your own vehicle.
  • Can I choose my own repairer?
Yes, we will instruct an assesor to agree repairs and work with your preferred car repairer.
  • My vehicle is relatively new, can I claim for depreciation?
Yes, we will arrange for an assessor to determine the extent that your vehicle has depreciated in value as a result of your accident. You will be entitled to be compensated for the amount that your vehicle has depreciated as per the assessor’s report. It is important to remember that the assessor will provide an indication as to the extent of depreciation but this is only an indication and the depreciation figure can be challenged by the other driver’s insurer. As a rule of thumb, if your vehicle is less than 4 years old or is a luxury vehicle it will have depreciated in value
